14 unusual punctuation marks


Some of the less used punctuation marks. It is interesting to see what they are used for and how they could be used within a body of writing and design work. I am not going to create these glyphs for my typeface as I would like to look further at this area for my FMP, exploring this and the structure of language, signs symbols and punctuation.

Catalan cultural activities- London

Creativity and design of communication materials and website for the Catalan cultural activities organized in London following the Joan Miro exhibition at the Tate Modern. Designed by Toormix a studio based in Barcelona who focus on corporate identity, art direction, editorial design and communication.

Cd packaging

Some cd packaging that I owned, Cd's come in a variety of different packages, the ones I have photographed are more common packages. I am looking for something light weight, easily reproducible but at the same time can hold and protect a cd securely.

Pampered chef

The change of direction has got me looking at various host your own type of parties/social gatherings one of which, being well known for it is pampered chef. The aim of this company is to book a show online and the Pampered chef sends over a consultant to help you host the event where the host and the guest participate in cooking various things. During and after the event there is opportunities to purchase order the various equipment used in the show, which is all branded by pampered chef.

Basque Health building

Interesting building located in the Bilboa in the Basque region of spain. Potential imagery for inside the supplement, I want to find images that show the reader what the Basque language is about and what there culture is like.

Fontsmith FS Blake

Similar to the kind of format that I am after. I need to think about how the information graphic pullout will fit into the supplement. If the different maps were to be overlayed on each other would it still be that affective if it was folded?

Basque

Ancestral language of the Basque people who inhabit the Basque country which is situated in north eastern Spain and south western France.

Basque has no official standing in the Northern Basque Country of France and French citizens are barred from officially using Basque in a French court of law. However, the use of Basque by Spanish nationals in French courts is allowed (with translation), as Basque is officially recognized on the other side of the border.

Just a quick flick through Typography: Macro and Microaesthetics: Fundamentals of Typographic Design  to get a bit of inspiration. Some interesting pages on contrast in type and layout exercises, these are things to consider and experiment with for briefs 3 and 4.

Scottish Gaeillic

The Scottish language (Gàidhlig) Pronounced "Gah-lick", often commonly called just Gaelic in English is a sister language of Irish and Manx; all three are Goidelic languages and part of the Celtic language family. It is also related to the Welsh language, Cornish language and the Breton language, these three are Brittonic or Brythonic languages.
