Print Processes- Pad Printing

Pad printing is relatively new printing technique compared to the rest that we looked at during the seminar. The process is defined by applying 2D images onto 3D objects, it allows us to print onto objects that cannot be printed onto such as hard hats and plastic sports bottles. Pad printing is used when a single print cant cover an entire object. Both CMYK and spot colour can be used to print onto the object in the process.

A golf ball is an example of an object that is printed onto using Pad printing.
